There are reports of mutual differences in the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra. Sources say that Uddhav Thackeray is worried about the soft stand of the NCP towards the BJP and he also spoke to Sharad Pawar in this matter. He said that the BJP is targeting the leaders of the alliance through the investigating agencies.
According to army sources, many such occasions were counted when NCP should have attacked the BJP but it came on the back foot. Mumbai Police had asked BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis to appear in the cyber wing KBC office in connection with the phone tapping case, however the Mumbai Police reversed its decision on March 13. After this, the police went to Fadnavis’s house and took his statement. The responsibility of the Home Ministry lies with the NCP leader and the Police Department comes under this ministry.
After the arrest of Nawab Malik, when the war of words started between Shiv Sena, BJP and NCP, in the meantime Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that it is time for both sides to maintain peace. There are many such incidents which were mentioned by Shiv Sena.
Last year, 12 BJP MLAs were suspended for a scuffle with the speaker. On this also Ajit Pawar had said that MLAs can be punished for a few hours or a few days, but suspending them for a year is not appropriate. On the other hand, NCP leader Majeed Memon recently tweeted and praised Prime Minister Modi and said that the people have given the mandate to Narendra Modi. There must be some good qualities in him which the opposition is not aware of.
