PM Narendra Modi will be on a tour of France, Germany and Denmark from May 2 to 4. This will be his first foreign tour this year, which he is starting with European countries. His visit is considered important in terms of foreign policy amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The first stop of PM’s visit will be Germany, where he will hold bilateral talks with Chancellor Olaf Scholz. During this, PM Narendra Modi will also address the people of the Indian community living in Germany. This will be PM Narendra Modi’s first meeting with him since Scholz came to power in Germany in 2021.
Only last year has completed 70 years of diplomatic relations between India and Germany. After Germany, PM Narendra Modi will go to Denmark, where he will also participate in the second India-Nordic Summit, which is organized by Denmark. This summit is being considered important in terms of India’s relations with the Nordic countries. Here PM Modi will participate in a business forum and will also address the people of the Indian community. Not only this, he will meet the Prime Minister of Iceland during the Nordic Summit. At the same time, he will also meet the heads of states of countries like Norway, Sweden and Finland.
In this summit, issues like the rise of the economy after the Corona crisis, climate change, innovation and technology, renewable energy and global security will be discussed. Apart from this, PM Modi will also discuss India’s role in the Nordic countries. The first India-Nordic summit was held in Stockholm in 2018. In the last leg of his visit, PM Narendra Modi will stop for some time in Paris and will meet President Emmanuel Macron. This year India and France are celebrating 75 years of their diplomatic ties. Let us tell you that there are also deep strategic relations between the two countries. India has been procuring arms from France on a large scale, including the recent Rafale jets deal.
