Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs in the 46th match of IPL 2022 to register their third win of the season. CSK’s fortunes shone as soon as Dhoni became the captain and the team registered an easy win over Hyderabad. In this match against Hyderabad, Chennai, batting first, scored a mammoth score of 202 runs with the help of half-centuries from Rituraj Gaikwad and Devon Conway. In the last over of the powerplay, Mukesh Choudhary gave the first blow to Hyderabad by dismissing Abhishek for a personal score of 39, the very next ball he dismissed in-form Rahul Tripathi for a golden duck. Hyderabad could not emerge from these two shocks. Captain Kane Williamson made 47 and Pooran played an unbeaten 64.
