Parveen Bano, who played Kesaria in the famous Bollywood film ‘Lagaan’, had a brain stroke in 2011. After that Parveena’s health deteriorated and due to treatment, her savings also ended. Parveena told that she used to stay at home with her daughter and younger sisters. After separating from her husband, she was the only woman earning me in the household. In such a situation, he tried to run the household expenses by earning money by doing small roles.
After this he told the media, “My brother used to take care of me but he also has cancer. I started my career with Lagaan. My opposite was Aamir Khan’s brother. My role’s name was Kesaria.” According to 42-year-old Parveena, she also had problems with arthritis, blood pressure since 2011, which led to brain stroke. Parveen is facing this problem for the last seven-eight years.
Parveen further said, ‘I have spent so much money on treatment that there is no account of it. I haven’t had a job since then. My sister worked as an assistant director in the industry. She was running the family expenses but the lockdown affected the work of films, for which she lost her job. Now we have no source of income. I went to many people for help but no one helped. People have sent ration from Sinta. Rajkamalji has sent ration twice. I am still getting treatment. I get Rs 1800 per week for medicine.
