Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has rejected the proposal of an alliance with Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM. Uddhav Thackeray said that Shiv Sena is a Hindutva party. He called it a conspiracy by the BJP to defame Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena leads the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra.
Addressing Shiv Sena MPs and other office bearers through video conferencing, Thackeray termed the Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM as the ‘B’ team of the BJP. Along with this, he targeted BJP on Hindutva and other issues. During this, Thackeray also referred to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s alleged statements on VD Savarkar and the Sangh’s alleged move to set up ‘shakhas’ in Muslim-dominated areas.
Thackeray said Shiv Sena will never forge an alliance with AIMIM, which is the B team of BJP. BJP is using Hindutva only for political gains. Thackeray asked who has demanded an alliance with AIMIM? This is a game plan and conspiracy by BJP. There is an understanding between AIMIM and BJP. BJP has directed AIMIM to defame Shiv Sena, question Shiv Sena’s Hindutva. Because of which AIMIM leaders are offering alliance.

Thackeray said Shiv Sena broke ties with BJP, but not with Hindutva. He accused the BJP of using Hindutva for political gains. “We do politics for Hindutva. They are using Hindutva only for politics. This is the main difference between him and us.
