According to Republic P. Mark exit poll, BJP can once again get majority in UP. BJP is expected to get 240 seats. SP is predicted to get 140 seats. The BSP may once again have to be content with 14 seats. BJP can get 40.1% seats. SP is expected to get 34 per cent votes. The BSP is likely to get 16.3 per cent votes.

According to poll straight, BJP can get 211 to 225 seats. The SP has been projected to get 146 to 160 seats. BSP can get 14 to 24 seats. Congress is predicted to get 406 seats.
Voting took place in seven phases
Voting took place in seven phases in Uttar Pradesh. The first phase of voting was held on February 10 in 11 districts of western UP. Polling was held in the second phase for 55 seats on February 14, the third phase on February 20 and the fourth phase on February 23. The fifth phase of voting was held on February 27, the sixth on March 3 and the seventh on February 7.
How was the result in 2017
In Uttar Pradesh in 2017, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed the government with a thumping majority. The BJP alliance had got 325 seats in the last election. BJP alone had captured more than 300 seats. This was the best performance of BJP in UP. The SP alliance was reduced to 47 seats. At the same time, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had to be satisfied with 19 seats.
