UP MLC Election 2022: Samajwadi Party (SP) has released the list of 35 candidates for the Legislative Council elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh. For the MLC elections, the SP has announced the names of 33 candidates, while the party has given two seats (Meerut-Ghaziabad and Bulandshahr) to its alliance partner Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD).
The names of 29 candidates for the first phase are in this list of candidates released by the party on Sunday. In the first phase, the Bulandshahr and Meerut-Ghaziabad seats were given by the SP to its alliance partner RLD. The party has also announced the names of six candidates for the second phase of elections. On behalf of SP, State President Naresh Uttam Patel has released the list of candidates for the Legislative Council elections.

Let us tell you that the process of nomination for MLC elections is going on since March 15 and the last date for nomination is March 22, scrutiny of all the nomination papers in the state will be done on March 23. Candidates can withdraw their names till March 25. Elections will be held on April 9 on all the seats of MLC. The counting of votes for the MLC elections will be held on April 12.
