After the humiliating defeat of the SP alliance in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, where Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has remained silent, the alliance partners are now blaming each other. The Mahan Dal president has said that some of the alliance partners were overconfident and also placed Akhilesh Yadav in overconfidence. At the same time, Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle and Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party President Shivpal Yadav has targeted the nephew in gestures, blaming the flaws in the organization for the defeat.
Keshav Dev Maurya, the chief of the Mahan Dal, who was with the SP alliance in this election, has also raised questions on the leaders who are making big claims of victory, but the results have exposed them. Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “Some leaders of the alliance were making a lot of wind. He himself did not have his vote, but Dave kept doing it. He himself was overconfident and kept Akhilesh Yadav in this as well.” When asked whom he was referring to, Maurya said that all the alliance partners are involved in this.
Shivpal Yadav, who got only one seat in the alliance with SP, has also started pointing out the flaws. Talking about the flaws in the organization, he has directly pointed fingers at the SP President and the Captain of the alliance, Akhilesh Yadav. Shivpal Yadav, who has expressed his pain in the middle of the election for getting only one seat, said, “Under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav, the alliance was formed, but the Bharatiya Janata Party got the majority, so there have been flaws somewhere in it. Somewhere some flaws remain, all of us have to reflect on that. Have to review. Then we will work further. Elections are always won on the strength of the organization, so somewhere there are flaws in the organization.
Political experts believe that it is difficult for all the alliance partners to stay together after digesting this defeat. He says that in the coming days when there will be a churn on defeat, then the alliance partners will blame each other and in such a situation there may be a split. Akhilesh Yadav’s silence can only aggravate the crisis. At the same time, some SP leaders have now started saying in a suppressed language that the bigotry of some leaders has caused harm. In 2017 and 2019, the SP had an alliance with the Congress and the BSP, but soon after the defeat, the knots of the alliance opened. In such a situation, this time also the old result cannot be ruled out.
