According to neuroscientists, bad health habits have a negative effect on the conventive function and gradually the risk of dementia, ie dementia, increases. Three foods or habits should be avoided- UPF means ultra-processed food, food over heating and sweeteners.

UPF- Ultra processed foods contain high amounts of sugar, salt, artificial ingredients and unsaturated fats; And these convenient, packaged items cause inflammation throughout the body including the brain.

A new study shows that UPF results can be dangerous. Research has proved to be a negative impact on the body from UPF. Which includes heart disease, cancer, metabolic syndrome, obesity, non-alcohol fatty liver disease, type 2 diabetes and even premature death risk.

According to a study published in Neurology in 2022, if you consume 10 % of the processed foods daily, then the risk of dementia increases by 25 percent.

Damage from over heating- When food is cooked at high temperatures through grilling, frying or browling, it forms advanced glyculation and products (AGE) and trigger oxidative stress and inflammation in the brain. It is directly related to amiloid plaque – the same deposited protein that is formed in the brain in Alzheimer’s disease. So the opinion is to avoid cooking at high temperature and steam as much as possible.

Sweetner- The same that is used as a choice of sugar can prove to be bitter for health. It is called zero calorie option.

Recent studies suggest that some artificial sweeteners may change the bacteria of the intestine that can promote inflammation, it can affect inflammatory cognetary functions and potentially increase the risk of neurodizenger disorders.

Low -calorie sweeteners ‘Aspartem’ has been seen as a disturbance and less learning tendency, while other studies have shown that prolonged use of artificial sweeteners may increase stroke, heart disease and even premature death risk.
