Sriganganagar. Under the joint aegis of District Administration and District Police, an awareness workshop under ‘Drug Free Sriganganagar Campaign’ was organized at the Government Senior Secondary School of village Sangatpura on Tuesday.
The main objective of the workshop is to stop the increasing trend of drug addiction in the border areas and to make the youth aware of its dangers. Vikram Jyani from the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment said that drug addiction in border areas is a big threat to the country and society and avoiding the temptation of drugs while living in the border area is a challenge, but it can be won with determination and awareness. . He told that drug addiction affects not only an individual but the entire society. Building a drug-free society is possible only when we all understand this responsibility and work unitedly. Creating a drug free society is not only the duty of the administration but of every citizen.
In the program, Principal Rajesh Kumar Arora said that the role of all of us is important in building a drug-free Ganganagar. Let us take a step against drug addiction from today itself and bring positive change in the society. The workshop was attended by school staff, senior teachers Asaram, Madanlal, Rajendra Brar, Rajendra Sunda, lecturers Sunita, Janaki, BCI Vikas Saharan, parents Baljeet Singh from 9H, Gurmeet Singh from 10Q. At the end of the program the students took an oath to remain drug free.
