In Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, a shopkeeper carried out the rape incident by taking a minor girl hostage in the shop. On receiving the information, the villagers complained to the police. As soon as the information was received, the police arrested the accused shopkeeper and took action against him. The accused belongs to another community, due to which there was a tense atmosphere in the area for several days.
The case is from a village in Nonhara police station area, where Shabbir, who runs a pot shop in the village on 7 December 2024, called a 13 -year -old girl from the neighborhood to his shop to give something. He took the victim inside the shop and did wrong with her. Fearing the matter being exposed, he tied the girl’s hands and feet and threw her on the roof inside the shop. When the girl’s parents investigated, it was found that her daughter had gone to the pot shop a few hours ago.
The victim’s parents and villagers reached the shop of the accused and talked to the shopkeeper about the girl but said that her daughter would not come. Some people of the village saw the girl coming to the shopkeeper’s shop. Then they entered the shop and investigated. He saw that the girl was lying on a small platform inside the shop and a rope was tied in her hands. The villagers took him out. The victim told her full incident, after which the villagers became angry.
The villagers informed the Nonhra police. Acting in the case, the police have registered a case against the accused under various sections of the Poxo Act. The market remained closed for several days in protest against the incident. Meanwhile, a situation of tension arose and peace and system also became a problem. Police forces had to be deployed in the village for several days as the matter had become a dispute between the two communities. Now Nonhra police, while taking action in this case, have found Shabbir guilty under the sub -section (III) of the National Security Act 1980.
