Maharashtra News Desk !!! Eknath Sambhaji Shinde (English: Eknath Sambhaji Shinde, born 9 February 1964) is a politician of India and Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He was earlier a cabinet minister of Urban Development and Public Works (Public Enterprises) in the Government of Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde is a member of the Legislative Assembly from the Kapri-Pachapakhadi assembly constituency of Thane. He has been elected four times in a row (2004, 2009, 2014 and 2019) in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. After a long tussle in Maharashtra politics, Eknath Shinde succeeded in becoming the new Chief Minister of the state, as he had the support of more than 40 MLAs. At the same time, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray refused to appear in the floor test, as he did not have the support of enough MLAs. Thus Eknath Shinde became the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 30 June 2022.
Introduction
Eknath Shinde, who became the focal point of discussion in Maharashtra politics, was born in 1964 in Mumbai on 9 February. His father’s name is Sambhaji Navalu Shinde and mother’s name is Gangubai Shinde. Eknath Shinde is married to Lata Shinde. He has a son as a child named Srikanth Shinde. When Eknath Shinde was born, there was a lot of poverty in his family and at the age of 16, he started driving an auto rickshaw to help his family financially and fired auto rickshaws for a long time. Along with this, he started working in a liquor factory to earn money.[1]
It is said that around 1980, Eknath Shinde joined Shiv Sena, impressed by Bala Saheb Thackeray’s speech and his thoughts. This was the time when the Shiv Sena was the only party in the only party that was known for the issue of hardcore Hindutva. Even more number of hardcore Hindutva leaders was in the Shiv Sena more than the BJP. In 2004, Eknath Shinde got an opportunity to become an MLA for the first time and after Bal Thackeray died, he emerged in Maharashtra as a fierce Hinduist leader.
Death of son and daughter
In the year 2000, the day of June 2 was very sad for Eknath Shinde. In fact, on the same day, he went to visit his 11 -year -old son Dipesh and 7 -year -old daughter Shubhada in Satara district of Maharashtra and there was a terrible accident during boating. In this accident, his son and daughter drowned in water. In this way, the time of 2000 was very sad for them. However, now they have a son.
Political start
He was admitted by Eknath Shinde’s parents at the New English High School in Thane city. From here, he completed his education for a short time. However, he could not complete his initial education and he left his initial studies from the middle and then started running auto rickshaws to provide financial assistance to his family. At this time he was 16 years old. Around the 1980s, Eknath Shinde met Bal Thackeray and the district head of Thane of Shiv Sena Party Anand Dighe and thus joined the Shiv Sena Party. After the formation of the 2014 government of BJP and Shiv Sena alliance, he received the post of minister and after that he took admission in Vasantrao Chavan Open University with the aim of re -acquiring education and from here to Marathi and Bachelor’s degree in politics subject Received.
Guru’s legacy
Shinde’s political guru Anand died in an accident on 26 August in 2001. However, some people also say that Anand Dighe did not die but was murdered for political reasons. After the death of Anand, the dominance of the Shiv Sena was beginning to decrease in the chin area and thus the party gave the command to Eknath Shinde to maintain the dominance of the Shiv Sena in the police station area. Thus Eknath Shinde waved the party in Thane area on the strength of his ability.
Career
Eknath Shinde got the opportunity to become a councilor for the first time in 1997. For the first time he became a councilor from Thane Municipal Corporation. He was selected in Thane Municipal Corporation in 2001 for the post of House leader. He once again won the post of Thane Municipal Corporation in 2002. Eknath Shinde was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 2004. In 2005, he was appointed by the Shiv Sena party to the post of Thane District Head. In 2009, Eknath Shinde was once again elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Eknath Shinde was once again selected for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 2014. From the month of October 2014, Eknath Shinde remained the leader of the Opposition of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the month of October 2014. From 2014 to 2019, Eknath Shinde remained a cabinet minister in the Maharashtra Government. From 2014 to 2019, he also remained the Minister of Protection of Thane District.
The leader of the Shiv Sena Party was appointed in the year 2018. The Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare in the Maharashtra State Government was made in the year 2019. In 2019, he was selected for the fourth time for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He was elected as a leader of Shiv Sena legislative party in 2019. In the year 2019, on November 28, he assumed the position as a cabinet minister under Mahavikas Aghadi. Eknath Shinde got a chance to become the Minister of Urban Development and Public Works in the year 2019. In 2019, he became the minister of home affairs and in the year 2020 he was made the patron minister of Thane district.
Maharashtra post
Eknath Shinde Maha Vikas was in favor of breaking Aghadi and re -establishing the alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He requested Uddhav Thackeray to break the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance due to ideological differences and unfair behavior by the Congress and the Indian Nationalist Congress. His fellow Shiv Sena members said that Uddhav Thackeray ignored his complaints. He gathered 2/3 members from his party to support his request. The crisis began on 21 June 2022, when Shinde and several other MLA Mahavikas Aghadi alliance went to Surat in BJP -ruled Gujarat, throwing the alliance into anarchy.
As a result of Eknath Shinde’s rebellion, Uddhav Thackeray resigned as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and said that he would resign from Maharashtra Legislative Council. Shinde successfully re-established the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance and was sworn in as the 20th Chief Minister of Maharashtra on 30 June 2022. In which Devendra Fadnavis of Bharatiya Janata Party became Deputy Chief Minister.

Eknath Shinde is an Indian politician and businessman. Impressed by the strong leader of Shiv Sena, Anand Dighe, he joined the Shiv Sena Party in the presence of Bal Thackeray. In 1996, MSRDC was established to promote road development in the state. Under this project, Mumbai-Pune Express Highway and Mumbai Bandra-Worli Sea link were to be constructed. However, in 1999, the Congress-NCP-led government came to power. But due to political reasons, the project was ignored. Eknath Shinde vowed to revive the MSRDC after taking over the department and in the next five years under his leadership, many big projects including Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway (Samriddhi Highway), Mumbai-Pune Express Highway Extension Extension, Third at Thane Bay in Vashi Bridge, Bandra-Versova Sea Link, Six Lane and Roads Concretion, 27 Railway Fly Pools, Versova-Virar C-Links and Gaymukh-Fauntan Hotel-Ghodbandar advanced routes were completed in Vidarbha. Eknath Shinde also ordered to increase patrolling through delta force while in power. Many CCTVs and speed gun measures were installed to ensure compliance with speed limit so that the number of accidents was reduced. In 2016, 151 people were killed in 2016 due to road accidents and in 2018 the number was reduced to 110. He directed to implement the ‘Zero Fitness Corridor’ scheme in collaboration with Save Life Foundation to make this ratio zero. Apart from this, he allowed the opening of a trauma care center in Ojard.[3]
In 1997, he contested the Thane Municipal Corporation as a corporator and won the election. After which he served as the leader of a House in TMC from 2001 to 2004. In 2001, after the sudden death of the Thane district chief of Shiv Sena, Anand Dighe, he landed in the political field on behalf of Shiv Sena in Thane district and Shinde was also appointed as the head of Thane district. Under his leadership and guidance, the Shiv Sena came to the Thane Municipal Corporation, Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation, Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation, Ambarnath Municipal Council and Badlapur Municipal Council. Eknath Shinde considers Shiv Sena strong leader Anand Diche as his political guru. Eknath Shinde resumed his studies after becoming a minister in the BJP -led Shiv Sena government in 2014 and did his BA in Marathi and politics from Washwantrao Chavan Open University, Maharashtra and politics. Cluster development for Thane city and projects called Thane Metro were approved under the leadership and assistance of Eknath Shinde. He often advocates issues related to the rehabilitation of millions of residents who were expelled from homes due to illegal construction from Thane. In December 2019, the Shiv Sena appointed Eknath Shinde as the Public Works Minister in the BJP -led government in Maharashtra as the Minister of Health and Family Welfare. On 22 November 2020, Eknath Shinde along with his son Srikanth Shinde and his cousin Mahesh Shinde set up a strawberry plant in a modern way in Mahakaleshwar, Madhya Pradesh.
