Maharashtra News Desk !!! Eknath Sambhaji Shinde (English: Eknath Sambhaji Shinde, born 9 February 1964) is a politician of India and Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He was earlier a cabinet minister of Urban Development and Public Works (Public Enterprises) in the Government of Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde is a member of the Legislative Assembly from the Kapri-Pachapakhadi assembly constituency of Thane. He has been elected four times in a row (2004, 2009, 2014 and 2019) in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. After a long tussle in Maharashtra politics, Eknath Shinde succeeded in becoming the new Chief Minister of the state, as he had the support of more than 40 MLAs. At the same time, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray refused to appear in the floor test, as he did not have the support of enough MLAs. Thus Eknath Shinde became the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 30 June 2022.

Introduction

Eknath Shinde, who became the focal point of discussion in Maharashtra politics, was born in 1964 in Mumbai on 9 February. His father’s name is Sambhaji Navalu Shinde and mother’s name is Gangubai Shinde. Eknath Shinde is married to Lata Shinde. He has a son as a child named Srikanth Shinde. When Eknath Shinde was born, there was a lot of poverty in his family and at the age of 16, he started driving an auto rickshaw to help his family financially and fired auto rickshaws for a long time. Along with this, he started working in a liquor factory to earn money.[1]

It is said that around 1980, Eknath Shinde joined Shiv Sena, impressed by Bala Saheb Thackeray’s speech and his thoughts. This was the time when the Shiv Sena was the only party in the only party that was known for the issue of hardcore Hindutva. Political start

He was admitted by Eknath Shinde’s parents at the New English High School in Thane city. From here, he completed his education for a short time. However, he could not complete his initial education and he left his initial studies from the middle and then started running auto rickshaws to provide financial assistance to his family. At this time he was 16 years old. Around the 1980s, Eknath Shinde met Bal Thackeray and the district head of Thane of Shiv Sena Party Anand Dighe and thus joined the Shiv Sena Party. Guru’s legacy

Career

Eknath Shinde got the opportunity to become a councilor for the first time in 1997. For the first time he became a councilor from Thane Municipal Corporation. He was selected in Thane Municipal Corporation in 2001 for the post of House leader. He once again won the post of Thane Municipal Corporation in 2002. Eknath Shinde was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 2004. In 2005, he was appointed by the Shiv Sena party to the post of Thane District Head. In 2009, Eknath Shinde was once again elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Eknath Shinde was once again selected for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 2014. His fellow Shiv Sena members said that Uddhav Thackeray ignored his complaints. He gathered 2/3 members from his party to support his request. The crisis began on 21 June 2022, when Shinde and several other MLA Mahavikas Aghadi alliance went to Surat in BJP -ruled Gujarat, throwing the alliance into anarchy.

As a result of Eknath Shinde’s rebellion, Uddhav Thackeray resigned as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and said that he would resign from Maharashtra Legislative Council. Shinde successfully re-established the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance and was sworn in as the 20th Chief Minister of Maharashtra on 30 June 2022. In which Devendra Fadnavis of Bharatiya Janata Party became Deputy Chief Minister.

Eknath Shinde vowed to revive the MSRDC after taking over the department and in the next five years under his leadership, many big projects including Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway (Samriddhi Highway), Mumbai-Pune Express Highway Extension Extension, Third at Thane Bay in Vashi Bridge, Bandra-Versova Sea Link, Six Lane and Roads Concretion, 27 Railway Fly Pools, Versova-Virar C-Links and Gaymukh-Fauntan Hotel-Ghodbandar advanced routes were completed in Vidarbha. In 1997, he contested the Thane Municipal Corporation as a corporator and won the election. After which he served as the leader of a House in TMC from 2001 to 2004. In 2001, after the sudden death of the Thane district chief of Shiv Sena, Anand Dighe, he landed in the political field on behalf of Shiv Sena in Thane district and Shinde was also appointed as the head of Thane district. Under his leadership and guidance, the Shiv Sena came to the Thane Municipal Corporation, Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation, Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation, Ambarnath Municipal Council and Badlapur Municipal Council. Eknath Shinde considers Shiv Sena strong leader Anand Diche as his political guru. Eknath Shinde resumed his studies after becoming a minister in the BJP -led Shiv Sena government in 2014 and did his BA in Marathi and politics from Washwantrao Chavan Open University, Maharashtra and politics.
