According to the Panchang, the month of Kartik is currently going on and the full moon falling in this month is known as Kartik Purnima. On this day, there is a tradition of bathing, donating, worshiping and chanting penance.
It is believed that by taking bath, donation and reciting puja on the full moon day, one attains virtue and receives the blessings of Gods and Goddesses. This year, Kartik Purnima is being celebrated on 15th November, Friday i.e. tomorrow. Dev Deepawali and Ganga bath will also be done on the same day. . It is believed that doing puja and fasting on this day increases virtuous results, apart from this, offering Arghya to the moon on this day increases happiness and prosperity, so today we are telling you a simple method.
Offer water to the moon in this manner –
Take bath etc. on the day of Kartik Purnima, after this wear clothes, take a steel pot and fill it with pure water and also add Ganga water. After this, add a few drops of milk, then make a swastika on the water pot and tie Kalava on the upper part of the pot. After this, offer Arghya at the time of moonrise on the day of Kartik Purnima.
Before offering Arghya, keep a plate on the ground. Because the water offered to the moon should not fall on the feet. While offering Arghya, one must chant the mantra of Moon God. Then light a ghee lamp for the moon and sing aarti. Offer the water fallen in the vessel to the roots of the Peepal tree. It is believed that by offering Arghya to the Moon in this manner, the blessings of the Moon God remain intact.
