Violent clash between security personnel and protesters
Kathmandu: There were clashes between security personnel and pro -monarchy workers in Kathmandu seeking to restore the status of monarchy and Hindu state. Brick and stones are seen on the streets of Kathmandu and the dhus is seen on the road. According to the information, violence erupted in Kathmandu on Friday after a clash with the security personnel demanding the restoration of the monarchy in Nepal. The administration has imposed curfew in Tinkun, Sinamangal and Koteshwar areas of Kathmandu and has tightened security measures.
It is seen in the video that protesters are stone -pelting on security forces. Stones are seen scattered on every day. Till the news was written, no violent clash was reported to be killed or injured.
Curfew imposed in many areas

Local media said that the monarchy supporters led by businessman Durga Prasad pressurized for the restoration of the monarchy in Tinkuna near the airport. He vandalized a building in Tinku and set it on fire. The protesters also broke the windows of a building on the roadside. The tension increased when the protesters tried to break the security cordon and threw stones at the police, leaving tear gas.
A large number of people are performing
On Friday, the alliance of four parties Socialist Forum is also demonstrating in favor of the Republic system in the Bhrikutimandap area of Kathmandu to counter the monarchy supporters. Other parties, including CPN-Maoist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist, are joining the demonstration with the aim of strengthening the republic system in the country. In view of the protests organized by two different groups in Kathmandu, the Nepal Police has tightened security and increased vigilance.
Supporters, including the leaders of the National democracy party, have been raising the voice of restoring the monarchy since the democracy day on February 19, when former King Gyanendra said in a message that the time has come that we take responsibility for protecting the country and bringing national unity.
The monarchy was abolished in 2008
Political parties of Nepal abolished the 240 -year -old monarchy in 2008 through the declaration of Parliament and converted the then Hindu kingdom into a secular, federal, democratic republic.
