But the pilot of the plane, sensing danger after entering Russia’s territorial limits, was seen requesting an emergency landing and circling near the airport. The incident occurred at 6:28 a.m. UTC (11:58 a.m.) on Wednesday. The plane crashed a few kilometers from the airport and near the Caspian Sea coast.
