Afghanistan defeated UAE by 38 runs in Sharjah to score their first points in the T20 TRAI series. From Afghanistan, Seedikullah Atal (63 runs, 40 balls) and Ibrahim Zadran (54 runs, 40 balls) scored half -centuries, while in the last overs, Ajmatullah Umarzai and Karim Janat’s rapid batting took the team to 188/4.
In response, UAE started by captain Muhammad Wasim (67 runs, 37 balls) and Rahul Chopra (52 runs, 35 balls), but his batting shattered in the middle overs. Rashid Khan took 3 wickets while bowling brilliantly and also became the highest wicket -taker in T20 international cricket. Shafuddin Ashraf also took 3 wickets. The result was that the UAE team could reach only 150/8 and Afghanistan won the match by 38 runs.
