Juno (Alaska): You will also be shocked to hear the report of the recent aircraft accident in Alaska. According to the report, this aircraft accident occurred due to high weight. Now you must be wondering how… So let’s explain the whole matter to you. In fact, just last month, an aircraft in Alaska suddenly fell victim to an accident, in which 10 people died. Please tell that it was a small aircraft.
Now the investigation of the case has revealed that this small passenger aircraft had half a ton of weight in terms of icy conditions. Due to this, the aircraft has become a victim of accident. The National Transport Safety Board (NTSB) in a preliminary report released on Wednesday described the weight as the cause of the aircraft accident. The aircraft was going from Unalaklight to Nom on February 6. This flight of ‘Bering Air’ crashed in Alaska, causing the lives of all 10 passengers aboard it.
480 kg was more weight
Clint Johnson, who led NTSB in the Alaska region, said that the investigation has so far revealed that the aircraft was overweight. The final report may take a year or more to prepare. The report stated that a review of the contents of the aircraft after the accident revealed that its estimated weight was 4,475 kg at the time of departure, that is, the ‘takeoff’ of the aircraft was about 480 kg higher for icy conditions. Due to this, this accident happened. (AP)
How much should the weight of an aircraft be
It depends on the type and size of the aircraft. The maximum flight load of heavy jet aircraft is usually up to 77,5000 pounds i.e. about 387 tonnes. Aerbus-380’s take-off load should be 1208000 pounds i.e. about 604 tonnes, small aircraft should be less than 12500 pounds i.e. less than 5670 kg. Even smaller aircraft should be less than 10450 pounds i.e. 4740 kg.
