India and America are in the final stages of ensuring a major trade agreement. US President Donald Trump has once again indicated to reach a new trade agreement with India soon. He added “probably” that the US is currently interacting with India.
Trump, while talking to reporters during a bilateral meeting with Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, emphasized that August 1 would be an important day when a lot of money will come in his country.
“We have imported more than $ 100 billion. Except for automobile and steel, there has been no significant increase in tariffs. There is a huge amount of money in our country since August 1,” Trump said.
Trump said, “We are having another deal (deal), perhaps with India. We are talking to India. When I send a letter, that deal is. The best deal that we can do is, send a letter, and wrote in the letter that you will pay 30%, 35%, 25%, 20%. We have some very good deals to announce. We will open it with India.”
The US President said on Tuesday that America is working on an agreement that can reach the Indian markets. He also announced a new trade agreement with Indonesia, after which Indonesia will have a lower tariff rate of 19 percent.
Announcing the progress in relation to India, Trump said, “We will get access to India. And you have to understand that we did not reach any of these countries. Our people could not go there. And now we are getting access to there due to tariff.”
Government officials said on Tuesday, “The ongoing bilateral trade talks (BTA) between India and the United States (US) are moving forward according to the decisions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump.”
Government officials told ANI, “Our team has returned to America for the fifth round of talks on bilateral trade agreement, so this agreement is moving as per the decisions of our leaders and the reference conditions fixed between the two countries.”
