Seattle: The US court on Thursday gave the biggest blow to President Donald Trump’s most important decision. A federal judge in Seattle has blocked Trump’s “citizenship order,” an executive order the Trump administration issued that curtailed the right to automatic birthright citizenship in the United States. This meant that the children of immigrants would no longer be able to get the citizenship they would have received if they were born in America. But the court stopped the implementation of this law and termed this decision as “clearly unconstitutional”.
US District Judge John Coughnor has issued a temporary restraining order to stop the Trump administration from implementing this order on the petition of 4 Democratic-led states.
