Ramstein Air Base: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met top US military officials and representatives of more than 50 partner countries in Germany on Friday to demand more weapons. Earlier, the US announced to provide $250 million in security assistance to Kiev. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that this meeting of officials is taking place at a time when Ukraine faces a significant threat from Russian forces near a major center in Donbass in the ongoing war with Russia.

US $ 106 billion in aid has been given to Ukraine

Zelensky had said that he would continue to press for the provision of long-range weapons. Zelensky said on the social media platform ‘Telegram’ on Friday, “Strong long-term decisions are needed by partners to bring us closer to the just peace we are looking for.” Since the year 2022, member nations together have provided security assistance of US $ 106 billion to Ukraine. Of this, the US alone has provided security assistance of $ 56 billion.

A strong message from Russia

Meanwhile, let us also tell you here that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has taken a tough stand against America. Sergei Lavrov said during an interview that America has crossed the Laxman Rekha i.e. the red line in the matter of supplying weapons to Ukraine. Lavrov said that America should understand that our Laxman Rekha is not something that can be messed with and they know very well where it is. Lavrov said that America has started losing the sense of mutual restraint towards Russia, which is very dangerous. (AP)
