In fact, recently, one of the great Indian cricket players and former coach Anshuman Gaekwad passed away. That is why the Indian team has taken this decision to express its condolences. Former cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad was suffering from cancer for a long time. He had blood cancer, for which he was undergoing treatment in London. The BCCI had decided to provide financial assistance of one crore to Gaekwad’s family for treatment. However, despite lakhs of efforts, Gaekwad could not be saved.
Anshuman Gaekwad’s Career
Anshuman Gaekwad has also been the coach of the Indian cricket team. He made his debut for Team India in Tests in 1974. He played a total of 40 Test matches between 1974 and 1984, in which he scored 1985 runs at an average of 29.63, during which Gaekwad also scored 2 centuries and 10 half-century innings. In 15 ODIs, he scored a total of 269 runs, including one half-century.
