Rain Alert: Heavy rain is expected from Gujarat to Bengal and Assam to Kerala, know what the weather is going to be like in your state, Heavy to very heavy rain alert given by IMD for Gujarat to West Bengal and Assam, Madhya Pradesh, UP, Himachal, Uttarakhand and Kerala

New Delhi. The Meteorological Department has once again predicted light to heavy rains in many states. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a low pressure area in and around Jharkhand. It is now expected to move towards north-western Jharkhand, south-east parts of Uttar Pradesh, eastern areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. At the same time, a cyclone is formed over Nagaland. The monsoon trough line extends from South Gujarat to Kerala. At the same time, the east-west trough line extends from northern Rajasthan to the south of Assam. The monsoon trough line extends from Bikaner in Rajasthan to the north-east of the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Mumbai.

On this basis, the Meteorological Department has predicted that Delhi may receive heavy rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday. Apart from this, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in many places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, eastern and western Rajasthan, eastern UP, southern areas of Bihar, Jharkhand, northern areas of Chhattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Rain is also expected in the rest of the country, but it will be light or moderate.

This year, the monsoon season has seen 19 percent less rainfall than the average during June. By mid-July, heavy to very heavy rainfall caused floods in many states. In July itself, 6 states witnessed below-average rainfall. However, the Meteorological Department had earlier predicted that the country would receive above-average rainfall from July to the end of September. It is believed that the monsoon may gain more strength in the month of August. Anyway, monsoon rainfall starts decreasing after August 15. However, this time, due to the La Nina effect, there is a possibility of more rainfall than before.
