Eye Scan: This case is from Pune International Airport of Maharashtra. The eyes of the CISF screener standing at the pre-embarkation security point of the departure terminal get stuck on the waist of a passenger coming from the front. After moving a few steps forward, the eyes of this passenger meet the CISF screener and it does not take him long to understand that the CISF screener is continuously looking at his waist portion.

This gaze of the CISF screener not only makes this passenger uncomfortable, but also creates a strange fear in his heart. By now this passenger reaches in front of the door frame metal detector (DFMD) of the pre-embarkation security point. Since the passenger had no other option, he stands in front of the same CISF screener for security frisking.

The pupils exposed the passenger
During security frisking, even though the Hand Held Metal Detector (HHMD) on the hand of the CISF frisker was moving all over the body of the passenger, his eyes were fixed on the passenger’s eyes. Suddenly the CISF screener asked the passenger what was in his waist? On asking the question, the passenger’s mouth did not open, but his pupils dilated for a few seconds.

It was also found in the check-in baggage…
This movement in the pupils of the passenger’s eyes told everything to the CISF screener. The doubt that was troubling his mind in the last few minutes was now completely confirmed. On searching, it was found that the passenger had tied bundles of foreign currency around his waist. After this recovery, the check-in baggage of this passenger was called for. On searching the check-in baggage, foreign currency was recovered from it as well.

The accused was going from Pune to Dubai
During interrogation, the passenger was identified as Ganesh Markand. He was about to leave for Dubai by Spice Jet flight SG-51. 25000 Saudi Riyals were recovered from the waist of this passenger and 57500 Saudi Riyals were recovered from the check-in baggage. The value of the total 82500 Saudi Riyals recovered in Indian currency is estimated to be around Rs 18,40,952. The accused passenger has been handed over to the customs by CISF.
