Dhaka: The situation in Bangladesh is constantly deteriorating. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left Dhaka amid the ongoing violence in Bangladesh. Hasina has left for a safe place. Meanwhile, a large number of protesters have entered the Prime Minister’s residence in Dhaka. Sheikh Hasina has resigned from the post of Prime Minister. The protesters have also occupied many important roads. The Internet has been completely shut down. Meanwhile, workers of the main opposition party BNP have come out on the streets in large numbers, who are targeting the workers of the ruling Awami League.

Situation is extremely sensitive in Dhaka

“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left her official residence in Dhaka after violence broke out. Her whereabouts are currently unknown. The situation in Dhaka is highly sensitive and the Prime Minister’s residence has been taken over by the mob,” a senior official in Bangladesh Prime Minister’s Office told ANI on condition of anonymity.

Little sister is with me

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Bangabhaban on Monday at around 2:30pm in a military helicopter for a “safe place” along with her younger sister Sheikh Rehana, according to Bangladesh media reports.

High alert issued on India-Bangladesh border

In view of the law and order situation in Bangladesh, the BSF has issued a high alert on the India-Bangladesh border. A senior BSF official said that the BSF DG has also reached Kolkata.

Interim government will run the country

According to Reuters, Bangladesh’s army chief said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned. The country will be run by an interim government.” The army chief said, “We will fulfill your demands, stay away from sabotage. If you people come with us, we will change the situation. Stay away from violence, anarchy and conflict. We have spoken to the leaders of all the parties.”

More than 300 people died

In Bangladesh, clashes have broken out between protesters and Hasina’s supporters in different parts of the country. Protesters have entered the Prime Minister’s residence. More than 300 people have died in these clashes. The clashes took place on Sunday morning when the protesters arrived to participate in the ‘non-cooperation program’ organized under the banner of ‘Students Against Discrimination’. Awami League, Chhatra League and Jubo League activists opposed them, after which clashes broke out between the two sides.

The army was deployed

Meanwhile, the army has been deployed across the country, including the capital Dhaka. Police have been removed from the streets.
