Vinesh Phogat and Sachin Tendulkar
The whole country is saddened by Vinesh Phogat’s disqualification from the Paris Olympics. Today, as the sun rose, the country was expecting at least a silver medal from Vinesh Phogat, but as soon as the news came that the Indian female wrestler would not be able to play the final, all hopes were dashed. Not only the common Indian but also the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar is disappointed with this news. Sachin has written a long post on social media praising Vinesh Phogat as well as Nisha Dahiya.
Sachin wrote on Instagram, “Nisha Dahiya and Vinesh Phogat, your courage and determination has inspired the whole nation. It was amazing to see Nisha fight with so much passion despite being injured. Vinesh, despite being disqualified, your incredible journey to the final and win against Yui Susaki was amazing. You both are champions. Though the results were not what we expected. Keep your heads high as the whole nation stands with you. Thank you for giving your all for India. We are very proud of you both.”
