Muslim organizations, leaders and religious leaders are already opposing the bill to amend the Waqf Act. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has called this move of the Modi government against the Sharia and has warned of going to court. At the same time, Maulana Arshad Madani, head of the Ulema Council, has said that Muslims can tolerate everything, but not interference in the Sharia. Let us tell you that there has been a dispute over the Waqf Act for a long time. There is a demand to withdraw this Act. The reason for this is that if the Waqf Act declares anyone’s property as its own, then even the courts cannot interfere much in it. The Modi government says that it will stop this dispute by making changes in the Waqf Act through registration and notice. Along with this, Muslim women and people from other communities will be included in the Waqf boards. Along with this, there is a proposal to create a separate Waqf board for the Bohra and Aagakhani communities.
