Jaipur. By-elections will be held for six assembly seats in Rajasthan in the coming days. This will be the first election under the leadership of the new state president Madan Rathore. It is believed that the dates for the by-elections may be announced this month. In view of the by-elections, BJP and Congress are busy preparing. By giving responsibilities to its strong leaders a month in advance, BJP has gained a huge lead over Congress in election preparations so far.
BJP has entrusted the responsibility of Dausa seat to Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa, Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, Arun Chaturvedi and former minister Prabhu Lal Saini. Minister Avinash Gehlot, Sumit Godara and State General Secretary Shravan Singh Bagdi have taken charge of Jhunjhunu. In Deoli Uniara, Minister Hiralal Nagar, former Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore, Jitendra Gothwal and Devnarayan Board Chairman Om Bhadana are handling the election preparations.
Rajasthan Politics: Now by-elections will be held on 6 assembly seats in Rajasthan instead of 5, know what is the big reason
Salumbhar seat fell vacant due to the death of MLA Amritlal Meena
The responsibility of Khinvsar seat is with Minister Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary, MLA Babu Singh Rathore and Ashok Saini. They are exploring the possibilities of BJP’s victory in the stronghold of Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal. In tribal dominated Chaurasi, Tribal Development Minister Babulal Kharari, Mithlesh Gautam and Nahar Singh Jodha are working day and night for the party’s victory. These five seats are those which became vacant after the Lok Sabha elections. The MLAs of these seats became MPs. Now after the death of Salumbhar MLA Amritlal Meena, that seat has also become vacant.
BJP had lost the elections on all five seats
Except Salumbhar, BJP lost the remaining five assembly seats in the assembly elections. Therefore, it is believed that the party will change faces on some seats. Shankar Sharma is not well in Dausa and he has lost two consecutive elections. The party is looking for a new face there. In Deoli Uniara, the senior party leaders are lobbying to make Prabhulal Saini a candidate, considering him a winning face. The party is considering giving ticket to Renvat Ram Danga, who gave a tough fight to Hanuman Beniwal in the assembly elections in Khinvsar.
This is a tough test for the double engine government
BJP is tired of experimenting against Brijendra Ola in Jhunjhunu. Here the party can bet on a new face. In Chaurasi, BJP needs a young face full of enthusiasm and passion to compete with the youth brigade of BAP. In Salumbhar, BJP can give a chance to a family member of the late MLA in the elections. At present, BJP’s entire focus is on bringing those castes which had left the party in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections closer to itself and due to their shift to Congress, the party not only lost the assembly elections on these seats but also suffered a loss of eleven seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Now the double engine government will have to face a tough test in these elections.
BJP’s campaign to strengthen booths is in its final stage
Anyway, BJP’s campaign to strengthen booths in five assembly seats is in its final phase. The party has also made a strong strategy to corner the opponents at the power centers. But the party will have to make a special strategy to bring the vote bank that has slipped from its hands to its side. The million dollar question is whether BJP will be able to find winning and sustainable candidates on all the seats. Whatever the results, these by-elections are linked to the credibility of the new state president Madan Rathod and CM Bhajanlal Sharma. If the results are even slightly in its favor, Bhajanlal will emerge stronger. At the same time, the party high command will definitely be happy with Madan Rathod as well.
