Amid the violence that continues in Bangladesh even after the coup, people from there are trying to infiltrate into the neighboring country India. Meanwhile, the Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested 11 Bangladeshi citizens trying to enter India from the borders of West Bengal, Tripura and Meghalaya. The BSF has given this information. Amid the ongoing political crisis in the neighboring country Bangladesh, India has issued a security alert on all the borders with Bangladesh.
Infiltration of 1,000 Bangladeshis foiled
Earlier, on August 9, the BSF, with the help of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), foiled an infiltration attempt on the Bangladesh border in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal. According to a BSF spokesperson, the BSF came to know about the arrival of about 1,000 Bangladeshi citizens on the India-Bangladesh border in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, who were coming to the border with the intention of taking refuge in India. He said that after detecting these people, the BSF immediately contacted the BGB to take back these Bangladeshi citizens. After this, both the agencies ensured that the situation on the border was controlled peacefully.
5 Bangladeshis arrested from Navi Mumbai
Meanwhile, police in Navi Mumbai have arrested 5 Bangladeshis. These people have been arrested from a building in Koparkhairane area of Navi Mumbai. They had infiltrated from Bangladesh-India border and reached Navi Mumbai from there. After reaching Navi Mumbai, they were living illegally in Koparkhairane area. These include 4 women and one man.
Minorities are being targeted
Let us tell you that even after the swearing-in of the interim government in Bangladesh, the phase of violence and protests is continuing. Students were protesting against reservation in Bangladesh for the last one month. The movement turned violent in no time. Violence continued there even after the Supreme Court’s decision on reservation. Students were adamant on demanding resignation from Sheikh Hasina. The situation worsened to such an extent that Sheikh Hasina had to resign from the post of Prime Minister and leave the country. Despite all the efforts, the situation there is out of control. Hindus and minorities are being targeted by fundamentalists.
