Jaggery Cheela Recipe:
First step- First of all, take a big bowl and add 2 bowls of wheat flour in it. Now add 1 tablespoon of fennel to the flour for taste. Crush or grind the fennel lightly, this will give more fragrance. Add about half a teaspoon of cardamom powder to the flour. Mix all the things in the dry flour and then make a solution by adding jaggery water to it.
Second step- Soak the jaggery in hot water for about 30 minutes and then mix it with a spoon to make syrup. Use it for sweetness while making the flour batter. While mixing the flour in a blender, keep adding the jaggery water while filtering it. If the paste seems thick, then prepare the batter for the cheela by adding some water to it.
Third step- The batter for Cheela should not be too thick. After mixing it, keep the batter aside for 10 minutes so that it sets and swells a little. After keeping the batter aside, it will become a little thick. The batter for Cheela should be made in such a way that it keeps falling from the blender continuously. That means you have to prepare such a thin batter.
Fourth step- Now place a pan or tawa on the gas and pour 1 spoon of Desi Ghee on it and then apply it all over the pan. Now pour 2 tablespoons of batter and spread the Cheela and let it cook lightly. When the Cheela is cooked from the bottom, flip it and if you want, you can apply some more ghee. While cooking the Cheela, cover it with a lid or a plate, it will cook quickly.
Fifth step- Prepare all the chillas in the same way. You can eat them with pickle, potato curry or any chutney. Jaggery chilla can be served as a sweet with the meal.
