Checking done at Okhla metro station
The great festival of Independence Day will be celebrated with great pomp across the country on 15 August. Preparations for this have already begun. Meanwhile, a traffic alert has been issued for commuters on many roads. People using the Delhi Metro have also been informed by the Metro administration. Meanwhile, today a joint team of CISF and local police along with the dog squad checked the Okhla Metro station, Metro parking and platform area. Also, a joint team of CISF and UP Police did foot patrolling and checking in Kalindi Kunj and Okhla areas sharing the interstate border with Delhi Police.
Preparations are in full swing for 15 August
Let us tell you that keeping in mind the main event of Red Fort Supper on 15th August, many roads are going to remain closed. Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory ahead of Independence Day celebrations on 15th August. The traffic advisory states that many roads in the national capital will remain closed between 4 am and 10 am and only labeled vehicles will be allowed on the mentioned routes. Let us tell you that Netaji Subhash Marg will remain closed from Delhi Gate to Chatta Rail. Lothian Road will remain closed from GPO Delhi to Chatta Rail.
Avoid traveling on these roads
Talking about other roads, SP Mukherjee Marg will remain closed from HC Sen Marg to Yamuna Bazaar Chowk. Chandni Chowk Road will remain closed from Fountain Chowk to Red Fort. Nishad Raj Marg will remain closed from Ring Road to Netaji Subhash Marg. Esplanade Road and its link road will remain closed till Netaji Subhash Marg. Ring Road will remain closed from Rajghat to ISBT. Outer Ring Road will remain closed from ISBT to IP Flyover (Salimgarh Bypass). Talking about the operation of Delhi Metro, on 15th August, the operation of Delhi Metro will start from 4 am itself, which will run at an interval of every 15 minutes. However, after 6 o’clock the frequency of metro will become normal like normal days.
