Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will not play Duleep Trophy

Duleep Trophy Squad: The teams for the new season of Duleep Trophy have been announced. A total of four teams are participating in this tournament starting from September 5. The squads and captains of all have been announced by BCCI. Although it was expected that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli would also play in this tournament, but their names have not been included in any team. Not only this, there are some other players who are continuously playing for Team India, but their names are not in the Duleep Trophy.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will not play Duleep Trophy

There was a discussion about Indian team captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli that they will be seen playing in the Duleep Trophy. The reason for this was that the Indian team does not have any series at this time. The first test is to be played between India and Bangladesh from 19th September, before that these players could have played the Duleep Trophy, they would have got match practice, but now after the announcement of the teams, it has become clear that Rohit and Virat Kohli are not playing the Duleep Trophy. Apart from these, the names of Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shardul Thakur and Hardik Pandya have also not been included in any squad.

Not even Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara

Apart from these big names, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara are also not playing the Duleep Trophy, their names have not been included in any squad. Both these players were playing only Tests for a long time, but now they feel that they have been forgotten in this format as well. It remains to be seen whether these two players are able to make a comeback in India’s Test team or not. It has been announced by the BCCI that the players who will be selected for the India vs Bangladesh series may leave the Duleep Trophy midway.

Team A: Shubman Gill (captain), Mayank Agarwal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, KL Rahul, Tilak Verma, Shivam Dubey, Tanush Kotian, Kuldeep Yadav, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, Khalil Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Vidawath Kaverappa, Kumar Kushagra, Shaswat Rawat.

Team B: Abhimanyu Easwaran (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant, Mushir Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal, Mukesh Kumar, Rahul Chahar, R Sai Kishore, Mohit Awasthi, N Jagadeesan.

Team C: Ruturaj Gaikwad (c), Sai Sudarshan, Rajat Patidar, Abhishek Porel (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, B Indrajit, Rithik Shokeen, Manav Suthar, Umran Malik, Vishak Vijaykumar, Anshul Khamboj, Himanshu Chauhan, Mayank Markande, Aryan Juyal (wk), Sandeep Warrier.

Team D: Shreyas Lair (captain), Atharva Tayde, Yash Dubey, Devdutt Padikkal, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Ricky Bhui, Saransh Jain, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Aditya Thackeray, Harshit Rana, Tushar Deshpande, Akash Sengupta, KS Bharat (WK). ,Saurabh Kumar.
