Delhi-NCR The real estate market of Delhi attracted the highest ever private investment of US $ 633.3 million in January-June this year. Investors capitalised on the high demand for prime office space and luxury housing. According to a new capital market report by real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield, Delhi-NCR saw investments worth US $ 633.3 million in the first six months of this calendar year.
The office segment brought a boom
According to the report, out of the total investment in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), office assets got $483.6 million and residential assets got $149.6 million. The jump in investment in Delhi-NCR has come mainly due to the office segment. There is also interest in the residential sector of the city, especially in the high-end and luxury segment. It said, the total investment in real estate in six major cities in January-June 2024 was $3.9 billion.
Investment of $509.5 million in Bengaluru
Nearly $1.9 billion was invested in multi-city deals. Bengaluru saw $509.5 million, Hyderabad $319.9 million, Chennai $234.7 million, Pune $151.7 million and Mumbai $147 million. “Private equity inflows of US$3.9 billion in H1 2024 (which has already surpassed 70 per cent of last year’s total inflows) reflect significant growth and investor confidence in India’s real estate market,” said Somi Thomas, Managing Director, Valuation & Advisory and Capital Markets, Cushman & Wakefield.
