Thousands of teachers’ jobs in danger in UP! High Court told the government – Release a new list of 69000 teacher recruitment

Lucknow. In the case of 69 thousand assistant teacher recruitment exam 2019, the double bench of Lucknow High Court directed the government to prepare a fresh selection list of the candidates. It also ordered to migrate the reserved category candidate to general category if he comes in the merit of general category. The order to reject the selection list of 6800 reserved category candidates will remain unchanged. It has been ordered to prepare a new selection list by bypassing the selection list released on 1 June 2020 and the selection list of 6800 candidates of January 5, 2022. If any assistant teacher currently working is adversely affected, then the benefit of the current session should be given so that the studies of the students are not adversely affected.

The double bench of the High Court Lucknow gave the order while disposing of 90 special appeals together. The court had reserved the decision after hearing. The court had pronounced the verdict on 13 August but it was available on the court’s website today. The double bench gave the verdict by modifying the order of the single bench of March 13, 2023.

The High Court also said that the process of issuing a new list should be completed within three months. After preparing a new list under Rule 14 of the Service Rule 1981, the reservation rules under Section 3(6) of the Reservation Act 1994 should be followed.
