New Delhi: There is anger across the country over the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata. The CBI is investigating the case. Meanwhile, the Trinamool Congress Party held a RG protest against the medical college and hospital, in which TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha participated and expressed his opposition. Shatrughan Sinha expressed his anger against the opponents. He said in his speech, ‘We will not forget Sandeshkhali, these people said that a woman CM is getting such work done in Sandeshkhali and they demand Mamata ji’s resignation, as if their father’s rule is going on. Look at their arrogance, they used to say that this time it will cross four hundred. Will they buy it from the market? Forget about crossing four hundred. Not 300, not even 250 could come.’
Shatrughan Sinha further said, ‘The incident that has happened is very bad. I am with that family and the doctor. There was a time when I also wanted to become a doctor, but could not. My brother is also a doctor. I request the doctors that if a poor person falls ill, will the doctors be able to forgive themselves?’
Shatrughan Sinha expressed concern over fake news
Shatrughan Sinha said in support of CM Mamata Banerjee, ‘Doctors are now demanding their protection under the Central Protection Act, so what can Mamata ji do in this? There is so much fake news going around here. It is being circulated on WhatsApp university that the victim’s neck bone has been broken.’ He hinted at a conspiracy of the central government in the case and said, ‘Is Delhi behind all this?’
Shatrughan Sinha tried to corner the central government
Shatrughan Sinha accused the central government of doing politics on a sensitive issue and said, ‘Mamata ji was not allowed to speak in the Niti Aayog meeting. When money was not given to Bengal, they thought that these people might ask for money, so is all this being spread on WhatsApp University to divert attention? Protests are happening all around. Our sympathies are with the victim’s family. Let us tell you that Shatrughan Sinha is a TMC MP from Asansol.
