Champai da you were a tiger, you are a tiger and will always remain a tiger, Manjhi welcomed into NDA

New Delhi. Amidst speculations of former Chief Minister of the state and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Champai Soren joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) before the assembly elections in Jharkhand, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Sunday created a stir by welcoming him to the NDA family through a statement. He wrote on ‘X’, “Champai da you were a tiger, are a tiger and will remain a tiger. Welcome to the NDA family. Johar Tiger…”

Earlier, JMM leader Champai Soren has also made it clear that as Chief Minister he faced ‘extreme humiliation’, after which he was forced to look for an alternative path. His statement came immediately after reaching Delhi amid speculation of joining the BJP. Champai Soren wrote on ‘X’, “After so much humiliation and contempt, I was forced to look for an alternative path.”

He alleged that in the first week of July, the party leadership suddenly cancelled all his government programmes without informing him. Champai Soren said, “On asking, I came to know that a meeting of the legislative party has been called by the coalition on July 3 and I was told that till then you cannot attend any programme as the Chief Minister.”

He asked, “Can there be anything more humiliating in a democracy than someone else cancelling the programs of a Chief Minister?” Champai Soren claimed, “The Chief Minister has the right to call a meeting of the legislative party, but I was not even told the agenda of the meeting.”

Champai Soren said that this is his personal fight and he does not want any other party member to get involved in it or cause any harm to the organization. He said, “I can never think of harming the party which we have nurtured with our blood and sweat. But circumstances have been created that…”
