Kolkata Doctor Murder Case: There is anger in the whole country over the rape and murder of a female trainee doctor at Kolkata’s Radha Govind Medical College and Hospital (RG Kar Medical College and Hospital). Doctors across the country are on strike after this incident. Several doctors’ organizations, including FORDA and IMA, are on strike. Doctors are demanding that the strike will continue until the government implements the Central Protection Act (CPA). But, in the meantime, doctors have become very angry with political statements. IMA and FORDA, a group of resident doctors, have expressed displeasure over the reaction of Purnia’s independent MP Pappu Yadav, in which he had said that many people have died in the country due to this attitude of doctors.

Especially in the Whatsapp group of Federation of Resident Doctors Association FORDA, people are expressing their displeasure over Pappu Yadav’s post. Pappu Yadav has written on X, ‘Doctors went on strike and killed 12 people! Who is responsible for this massacre? If doctors are found to be involved in the Kolkata gangrape, then all doctors will take responsibility for that rape! Wherever a doctor is a rapist, why does the same doctor become angry with the society?
