New Delhi. The case of rape and murder of a female trainee doctor at Kolkata’s Radha Govind Medical College and Hospital (RG Kar Medical College and Hospital) has gained momentum. On Monday, the resident doctors’ association FORDA has started a campaign called ‘Justice for Abhaya’ in the year 2024, just like the ‘Nirbhaya’ gang rape in 2012. FORDA has posted a post about this from its ex handle.
Let us tell you that doctors across the country are on strike after this incident. Many organizations of doctors including FORDA, IMA are on strike. Doctors are demanding that the strike will continue until the government does not implement the Central Protection Act (CPA). But, in the meantime, doctors have become very angry with the political statements. After the statements of many leaders including TMC, the doctors have decided to give a new form to this movement.
Demand for Justice for Abhaya begins
In this connection, a hashtag named Justice for Abhaya has been started on social sites. As soon as this hashtag started, this post is going viral very fast. Along with doctors, people from every section of the society are giving their reactions on this post. All the organizations of doctors have started posting with this hashtag on their respective social sites.
In fact, after continuous posts by leaders on social media, FORDA has prepared a plan to give it the color of a campaign. Under this, the leaders and the people standing against this strike have to show public support and bring the Central Protection Act in the country. This campaign is being seen as an exercise to bring CPA.
