To maintain this tradition, a big change is being made in the design of Hanuman Mandir Corridor. Now Maa Ganga will not be obstructed in entering the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Preparations for this have been started by the Development Authority.
To prevent the tradition of bathing Hanuman Ji lying down in the Ganges from being broken in Sangamnagari, Prayagraj Mela Authority has changed the old design of the Hanuman Mandir Corridor Project. Now after the construction of this corridor, the flow of Ganga will not be obstructed near the sanctum sanctorum after the flood in Ganga. There was a possibility of the flow of Ganga stopping during floods due to the construction of this corridor. Preparations are being made to build an elevated boundary wall so that the waves of Ganga enter the temple during floods and bathe Hanuman Ji.
The part below this boundary wall will remain completely open. So that the tradition of Ganga entering the temple remains forever. Let us tell you that during the rainy season, the water level of Ganga and Yamuna rises and after reaching the Lathe Hanuman temple, it returns after bathing Hanuman ji. This has been going on for a long time. There is a huge crowd to see it. In such a situation, changes are being made in the map of the corridor. In which the boundary wall will be made elevated. This will ensure that flood water keeps reaching the temple.
Prayagraj Development Authority has taken 11,186 square meters (2.76 acres) of land from the army. In exchange for this land, PDA has given 19 thousand square meters of land worth Rs 64 crore to the army in Jahnavipuram Housing Scheme of Niwan. The entire contract for construction of the corridor has been given to Univastu Boots Infra Limited. That company will complete the work in two phases at a cost of Rs 38.18 crore.
