Dausa (Bureau). The general meeting of the Zila Parishad was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Zila Pramukh Hiralal Saini. In which there was a fierce dispute among the members. Mediating had to be done to pacify the angry members. Actually, the members were demanding the formation of a committee to investigate the works of JJM. After this, when BJP member Neelam Gurjar started raising the issue of the medical department, Megharam Meena and Chhotu Ram Meena of Congress interrupted Neelam Gurjar and stopped her from speaking on another issue. Despite this, she kept speaking, and Megharam and Chhotu Ram kept interrupting her.
When another youth came in the middle of the meeting taking Neelam’s side, there was a tense atmosphere. Later the district head pacified the matter. There was a ruckus on many issues including irregularities in Jal Jeevan Mission and repair of roads dug up while laying the pipeline. After the announcement of forming an inquiry committee, the members insisted on further action.
Brijmohan Jhoothaheda alleged corruption and said that work is not being done as per the guidelines of JJM. The government is being cheated in collusion between the contractor and the officials.
Megharam Nandri said that people are facing problems due to digging of roads for drinking water scheme. Officials are not working, they are giving false answers. They do not listen to the members. Many other members supported this and demanded the formation of an inquiry committee. On this, the officer of the water supply department said that work of 393 schemes was approved in the district. Out of which only the work of 25 kilometers of broken roads is remaining. The rest of the work has been completed. Despite this, the members were not satisfied with his answer and remained adamant on the demand of formation of a committee.
MP Murarilal Meena intervened and pacified the members. CEO Dharasingh Meena assured to form an inquiry committee within three days. The MP said that public works should be done. The officials do not have proper knowledge of the crop insurance scheme.
Sikrai MLA Vikram Banshiwal said that officers who do not pick up the phone of members can get into trouble. Therefore, they should improve their working system as soon as possible. Lalsot MLA Ramvilas Dungarpur said that Gram Sabhas are not held in any Gram Panchayat of the district. Sarpanch and Secretary together do the formality.
