Now your Aadhaar will be required for this work also, the central government has taken this step

Business News Desk, Aadhar card has become very important today for getting subsidy on cooking gas, opening a bank account and getting ration at a cheap price. Without Aadhar, you cannot even pay your tax today. In such a situation, the central government has made a new rule in the country, due to which now you will need Aadhar for government job exams as well. This has been made necessary for A-grade government jobs. The central government has now approved a new system for candidates appearing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam. After this, if you want to appear for the UPSC exam, then you will have to go through the Aadhar based authentication process.

This system will work on a voluntary basis
The system of Aadhaar based authentication for UPSC will be on a voluntary basis. This means that it will not be a mandatory condition for appearing in the UPSC exam. This system of Aadhaar based authentication has been introduced to ensure the identity of the candidate. Aadhaar based authentication will be done at two levels. First, when you register to appear in the UPSC exam. The central government has approved this at every different level of the exam. Secondly, Aadhaar based authentication will also be done during recruitment. It is believed that this decision has been taken by the government after the recent Pooja Khedkar storm. Pooja Khedkar has been accused of misusing the reservation system. UPSC has disqualified Pooja Khedkar after the controversy in this matter increased.

This system will work like this
According to a Business Standard report, the Union Public Service Commission will now be able to use Aadhaar data. It will be able to do Aadhaar-based e-KYC of any candidate from its database. Under this, when you register to appear in the exam on the UPSC’s one-time registration portal, Aadhaar-based authentication will be done at the same time. For this, the candidate will have to give a yes or no approval to UPSC to access their Aadhaar data. This system will be adopted during their entire recruitment process.
