Sri Ganganagar,Governor Haribhau Bagde inspected the historic Hindumalkot post and border area in Sri Ganganagar on Friday. While observing the border area from this important post on the India-Pakistan border, he also interacted with the BSF jawans deployed there. He congratulated them for their commitment and dedication to protect the country by remaining alert day and night even in adverse conditions.
Governor Bagde interacted with the soldiers posted at Hindumalkot border and discussed the challenges related to border vigilance and other defence issues. While inspiring the soldiers and praising their spirit and courage, he said that all of you are not only the security guards of the country but are also the symbol of the integrity and unity of the nation.
The Governor also appreciated the beautification work done by the BSF jawans at the post, the heritage wall and the green campus. He also visited the War Museum there.
He saw the ancient ruins and buildings of historical importance in Hindumalkot village. He was told that this area was a big business center before the partition. He was also told about the old railway tracks and the railway station.
internal security meeting
Bagde later held an internal security coordination meeting at the border. During this, while talking about the drugs and illegal weapons caught under the Hindumalkot police station area, he said that as much as vigilance is necessary on the country’s borders, it is equally important to stop activities that harm our internal security. He stressed on the BSF and the police administration to jointly keep a close watch on the sending of heroin and other things through drones from across the border and to remain in constant touch with the local people and work vigilantly on issues that hinder internal security.
