A sensational murder case has come to light in Pune, Maharashtra. The Crime Branch has arrested 51-year-old Ashfaq Khan and his wife in this connection. They are accused of murdering their 48-year-old sister Sakina. It is being told that they chopped the body into pieces and threw it in the Mutha river. Both the accused have confessed their crime. Joint CP of Pune City Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma said, ‘The reason behind the murder is said to be a dispute over the ownership of the house. Further investigation is going on in this case and the accused are being questioned.’
On August 26, police found the body of a woman with her head and limbs chopped off near a river in Khardi area. After investigation, the woman was identified as Sakina Khan, the official said. Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma said, “Pune city police recovered the torso of a woman from the banks of the Mutha river. There were no clothes on the body and the accused had cut it into pieces before throwing it into the river to destroy evidence.” He said the accused allegedly strangled the victim, cut off her head and cut the body into pieces to destroy evidence. The official said the couple has been arrested under sections 103 (murder) and 238 (destruction of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).
There was a stir after the skeletons of 3 people were found inside the house
At the same time, police have recovered the skeletons of 3 people from a house located in a village in Palghar district. Police suspect that these skeletons belong to an old couple and their daughter. Police officials said that the skeletons were recovered from a house in Nehroli village of Wada tehsil of Palghar district on Friday. Senior Inspector Datta Kindre of Wada police station said, ‘Local people complained of foul smell coming from the house and informed the police about it. The house was locked from inside.’
The senior officer said, ‘On receiving the information, the police reached the spot. They broke the door of the house and entered inside. They were shocked to see the skeletons of two women in the reception room, while the skeleton of the man was found in the bathroom. The bodies had completely decayed and only skeletons were left in their place.’ Kindre said that it is suspected that these skeletons belong to the elderly couple and their daughter. He said that the elderly man is 70 years old, his wife is 65 years old while the daughter is 35 years old.
