Many diabetics consume sweeteners as an alternative to regular sugar. But because of this, your blood sugar can increase.

We think our body can handle fewer hours of sleep. We keep our bodies busy and push them beyond their working limits even when we don’t get enough sleep. Lack of sleep disrupts the body’s ability to use insulin properly and can therefore lead to higher than normal blood sugar.

Less fiber in the diet

A diet rich in fat and carbohydrates is a sign of obesity. The quality of the diet significantly affects blood sugar levels. Several studies have found that fiber-rich foods such as vegetables, seeds, nuts, whole grains, white meat, fruits protect against type 2 diabetes.

Smoking and alcohol consumption

Cigarette smoking, heavy alcohol consumption and smoking are one of the reasons for the onset of type 2 diabetes in young people. Hence, it is better to quit these habits in time.

Wrong medications

Wrong dosage of medicines can alter the blood sugar levels and cause diabetes. It is very important to update your doctor about other health conditions that you have along with the medicines you are currently taking. Sometimes medicines combine with each other and harm the body.
