There are possibilities that this announcement can be made in the third week of September. According to sources, DA can be increased by 3 to 4 percent. What is DA?
DA means Dearness Allowance which is also called dearness allowance. This is the amount given to government and non-government employees. In view of the rising inflation, the government gives the gift of DA to the employees. It is given by looking at a fixed percentage of the basic salary of the employee. Along with the basic salary, other amounts like house rent allowance are also added to DA, after which the salary is formed. That is why government employees are very attached to the word DA.
When will it be announced and how much will the increase be?
The government can announce it in the second week of September. According to the information, an increase of 3 percent is certain. But there are also possibilities that it can be increased to 4 percent. Talking about March 2024, during this period the government had increased DA by 4 percent. Dearness Allowance was frozen during Covid. From 2020 to 2021, the government had stopped DA for about 18 months. For which the employees had also protested a lot. Regarding this, Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary gave a statement in the monsoon session. He said that ‘the government will not release the 18 months’ arrears of DA and dearness relief.’
