MiG-29 crash in Barmer: Air Force’s MiG-29 fighter plane has crashed in Barmer district of Rajasthan. Local police gave this information. Air Force official said that in this accident, the pilot managed to get out of the plane safely. There is no news of any loss of life or property at the accident site. Air Force has ordered a Court of Inquiry.
After the accident, a statement was issued by the Indian Air Force. The Air Force said in its post on X- During a routine night training mission in the Barmer sector, an IAF MiG-29 suffered a serious technical fault, due to which the pilot had to eject from the aircraft. The pilot is safe and there is no report of any loss of life or property on the ground. Orders for a Court of Inquiry have been issued.
Meanwhile, Barmer’s Superintendent of Police Narendra Meena said that a Mig-29 aircraft crashed in Barmer at night. This incident happened away from the populated area. The pilot is safe. There is no report of any casualty at the accident site yet. The accident is suspected to have occurred due to a serious technical fault in the aircraft. Due to the remote area, fire engines have not been able to reach the accident site.
In March this year, a Tejas aircraft crashed near Jaisalmer during an operational training sortie. It is a matter of relief that the pilot was able to eject himself safely just before the accident. The Indian Air Force had ordered a Court of Inquiry to find out the causes of the accident.
On June 4, the Air Force’s Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter plane crashed near Shirasgaon village in Niphad tehsil of Nashik at around 1.20 pm. The plane caught fire after the accident. Fortunately, both the pilot and co-pilot came out safely in the accident. Parts of the plane were scattered within a radius of 500 meters. Teams from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and the Air Force’s security and technical wing visited the accident site.
