Babar Azam: Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam is a completely different batsman, and India’s former great opening batsman Virender Sehwag has also been a completely different kind of batsman. While Babar has the ability to play a long innings by taking time in the beginning, Virender Sehwag would score big by batting aggressively from the very first ball and sometimes get out early. On one hand, Pakistani Babar Azam has tremendous patience, while on the other hand, Veeru’s formula of adopting attacking mode is dangerous.
Rashid Latif compared Babar Azam to Virender Sehwag
Babar is a batsman of a different style, while Virender Sehwag has also been playing in a completely different style, so how is it possible to compare the two. Here a former Pakistani legend has compared Babar Azam to Virender Sehwag. Former Pakistani wicketkeeper batsman Rashid Latif believes that Babar Azam is like India’s Virender Sehwag. But here Latif has not compared the batting styles of both but after losing form. Latif believes that Babar is like Sehwag, who once loses form, regains it with difficulty.
Rashid Latif said, Babar is like Veeru, once he loses his form, it is difficult to return
Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif while talking with Sports Tak said that, “Babar Azam’s mind is not at peace. He is like Virender Sehwag, who once loses his form, finds it very difficult to regain it. Cricket is a game of the mind. Babar Azam’s mind is not at peace. He knows what mistake he has made. Babar should not have taken the captaincy from Shaheen Shah Afridi. He had refused, however, despite this he was given the responsibility of leadership. After the defeat in the World Cup, he came under more pressure.”
Once Virender Sehwag lost his form, he did not return soon – Latif
After this, Rashid Latif further compared Virender Sehwag with Sachin Tendulkar and said, “Sachin Tendulkar’s technique was very good. So he used to come out of bad form very quickly. However, this was not the case with Virender Sehthwag. If Sehwag’s form was bad, then it used to last for a long time. These days the same is happening with Babar Azam. The former Pakistan captain is not able to select the ball.”
