Shimla, September 3 (IANS). There is a financial crisis in Himachal Pradesh. The salaries of government employees are now in trouble. Former state general secretary of All India National Educational Federation, Dr. Mamaraj Pundir, expressing concern over the financial condition of the state, said that this day is a black day for the employees, when they did not get salary even after working for the whole month.
He asked what happened that the employees of the state did not even get their salary and the so-called employee leaders are hiding in the bills with their mouths covered. Even after the 3rd of September, the employees have not received their salary, this has happened for the first time in the history of Himachal. The opposition submitted a memorandum to the Governor in this entire matter and said that Himachal is facing financial emergency, the fake guarantees have made it bankrupt and Himachal has also taught a lesson to the states, Congress is giving false guarantees for power.
The financial crisis in Himachal Pradesh remains serious, due to which there is chaos in the entire state. The Chief Minister of Himachal first spoke about the financial crisis in the assembly and decided to postpone the salary of himself, ministers, CPS and MLAs for 2 months, but now he is saying that there is no financial crisis in the state. But, this is the first time in the history of Himachal that the employees have not received their salary till the 3rd. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has said that the hollow guarantees of Rahul Gandhi have been exposed in Himachal Pradesh, from which other states should also learn a lesson.
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has alleged that in Himachal Pradesh, despite the 3rd of the month having passed, employees have not received their salary and pensioners have not received their pension. He said that the Chief Minister’s statements are contradictory, sometimes he talks of an economic crisis and sometimes he says that there is no crisis. If there is no crisis, then why have salaries not been paid? The opposition had demanded a discussion on this issue in the House, but the government is not serious.
He said that Himachal Pradesh is facing an economic crisis and the opposition is worried about it. In the process of fulfilling the guarantees, the employees are not even getting their salaries, which is not good for the future of Himachal. The opposition legislative party has submitted a memorandum to the Governor and demanded intervention. The BJP said that they will expose the hollow guarantees of the Congress in the electoral states as well.
The leaders of the employee union say that there is no clarity on when the salary will be paid and neither has the government given any official information about it. Employees are now having to take loans to run the household expenses. Bills like electricity, water, ration are not being paid. EMI is also getting affected, calls are coming from the bank and some have also been fined. Employees who are raising their voice against the government are being transferred.
