Ankara: Amid the Israel-Hamas war, Turkey’s state media has made a sensational claim that the head of Israeli intelligence agency Mossad’s financial network has been arrested by Istanbul police. According to Turkey’s state media agency Anadolu, Istanbul police have arrested Mossad’s financial network head Rexhepi in Turkey. According to security sources, Rexhepi carried out drone surveys and psychological operations against Palestinian politicians under the instructions of the Israeli intelligence service.
Security sources said on Tuesday that the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has identified Liridon Rexhepi, arrested by Istanbul police, as the head of Mossad’s financial network. It is claimed that Rexhepi managed the financial operations of Israeli intelligence agency Mossad in Turkey. Apart from this, he transferred money to field agents in Turkey to collect intelligence on Syria. Suspicious transactions are also found in his accounts to prove Rexhepi’s activities, which were monitored by the Turkish intelligence agency MIT.
Many Mossad agents were made from Türkiye to Eastern European countries
Citing the Turkish intelligence agency, state media has claimed that the arrested Mossad financial head transferred a large amount of money to field agents in Turkey via Western Union. He entered the country on August 25. Since then, his activities were monitored. When MIT and Istanbul police detained Rexhepi on August 30, he admitted to transferring the money. This was a major revelation of Mossad’s financial network. MIT found out that Mossad funded its field agents in Turkey through Eastern European countries, mainly Kosovo. After this, the funds from Kosovo were transferred to Syrian sources via Western Union and cryptocurrency.
