Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami
The Uttarakhand government on Wednesday made major changes in the departments of IAS and PCS officers. Sources said that the departments of two principal secretaries and eight other secretaries have been reshuffled. A total of 45 officers have been changed, including 39 IAS officers. 1997 batch IAS officer Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu has been removed from the post of Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department. However, he will continue to be the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Principal Secretary of the Forest, Environment Protection and Climate Change Department.
Laliran Laina Fanai of 1997 batch has been relieved of the responsibility of Principal Secretary Minority Welfare and Chairman Minority Welfare and Waqf Development Corporation. In his place, Ranjit Kumar Sinha has been given both the responsibilities. Fanai will hold the post of Principal Secretary of Excise Department and Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. He will also have the responsibility of Chairman of Transport Department.
Five PCS officers also included
Apart from this, eight other secretary level officers have also been transferred. Deepak Rawat has been given additional responsibility in place of Chief Minister’s Secretary R. Meenakshi. Ravinath Raman has been appointed Higher Education Secretary in place of Shailesh Bagauli. Pankaj Kumar Pandey will be the new Labor Secretary in place of R. Meenakshi and the new Chairman of Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. The officers whose departments have been changed include one IFS and five PCS officers. (IANS)
