An Ola auto driver in Bengaluru misbehaved with a woman and slapped her after she cancelled the ride. The woman has shared a video of the incident on social media, in which her heated argument and scuffle with the driver can be clearly seen. In the video, a heated argument can be seen between the woman and the auto driver. When the woman asked the driver why he was shouting, he replied, “Does your father pay for gas?” The woman threatened to complain to the police to which the driver nonchalantly told her to do whatever she wanted.
According to the viral video, when the woman asked why she was slapped, the angry driver tried to snatch her phone and asked her to go to the police station but the woman continued to resist the driver. At the end of the video, the driver takes his auto rickshaw and leaves.
The woman said that she and her friend had booked two Ola autos during peak hours. When their booking came, she cancelled her friend’s booking. After this, the driver of the cancelled booking started following them and started abusing them. The woman posted on social media saying that the driver abused her and made objectionable comments. He started making a video with his phone which made the driver even angrier.
The woman alleged that the driver tried to snatch her phone and slapped her. She also said that the driver threatened to hit her with a slipper. Ola responded to the woman’s post saying that the matter is worrying and will be investigated. West Bengaluru Deputy Commissioner of Police said that the driver has been arrested by the Magadi Road police and action is being taken under the law. After the woman’s post went viral, social media users are also demanding information to the concerned authorities for appropriate action.
